My grandmother would always say that I needed to eat more meat when I bit my tongue. Not sure if that was an Old Wive's tale or what but it is something I heard all of my life.

not that I'm aware of, but it means that you may have been in too much of a hurry or that you have some sort of oral abnormality due to an infection or needing dental work. inflammation of the tongue, the cheeks or gums can cause an abnormal bite at times. it could just be a moment of lost coordination. it can be painful. hope it gets better.
