I need some help for awhile now my driver side brake lamps don't work. I have changed the bulbs but when i go to check it doesn't work like a day or 2 later. The bulbs aren't burnt out. Anyone know what the problem could be?

Bad ground. You have corrosion somewhere in the connectors.

Short in the wiring harness. With the help of a friend, follow the wires from where they connect to the tail lights back to the passenger compartment.

Place something between the driver's seat and brake pedal to activate the brake lamps.

As you are following the wires, wiggle the. Have your friend watch the lights to see if they go out. Don't forget to check the wire that goes to the chassis ground.

Look for places where the wiring insulation may be chaffed exposing the wire.

Repair any problems you find.

Unfortunately, wiring problems can be difficult to trace. You will need to take your time and have some patience.

I haven't worked on a 97 Malibu in a while but check the socket in which you put the bulb in and make sure there is a good connection and check for corrosion.Check to make sure the taillight itself does not have a small circuit board. If you check all those and can't find anything out of the ordinary go to a bodyshop and asked a technician ,alot of times a nice guy will look at it for free.

Hold the brake on and have an assistant watch the brake lights. Now, with the brakes on, play around with the turn signal stalk, up and down and pull it to you and all that. If the lights try to work you need a turnsignal switch and this is real common.

i'm no longer keen on the hot Renault Duster in any respect extraordinarily as its named after the previous "Dacier Duster" which replaced into in-built Romania interior the 1880s, yeah ok Renault owned Dacier, yet........... ! I actual have owned Renaults interior the previous and that i think of Renaults ultimate years for development truly effective vehicles have been the Sixties to mid 1880s, besides I actual have seen the Chevy Cruze and confident its a effective chunky vehicle and so is the Sonic. My widespread decision although is the Hyundai Elantra for exterior solid seems, presence on the line and indoors, yet i think of the engine is merely too small for a extensive vehicle like that, it desires to be a least a V6 and not a 2 litre, 4 cylinder engine, every time one is going previous me it sounds like its straining to get any means, yet I nevertheless look besides !

it could sound funny but.... a rat can eat your cables or roach

make sure your car is insect free.... i bet you eat on car all day, so check the bulbs cables they can be eaten or heavy damage

if they are all good then you have a bad fuse but usually are cables eaten by animals
