The capacity is 2 dm, because capacity normally means volume.

If you meant density, it's mass divided by volume. dm is a decimeter, meaning one tenth of a meter. Do you mean 2 dm on a side, or 2 cubic dm? 2 dm on a side means 0.2 m on a side, for a volume of (0.2 m)^2 = 0.008 m^3, giving a density of (2 kg) / (0.008 m^3) = 250 kg/m^3. On the other hand, a cubic dm is 0.001 m^3, so 2 dm^3 = 0.002 m^3 and the density is (2 kg) / (0.002 m^3) = 1000 kg/m^3.
