that Abraham Lincoln was not assasinated, it caused the south to be punished politcally and socially for years, which is exactly the opposit of what he wanted done. the brutal civil war was over, and to him it was a time for a national family to heal, and accept one another as equals again, not as victor and vanquished. becuase of Booths deeds, it caused horrible problems for decades on Blacks, as well as whites, the KKK came into exixtance, and the economy of the south was not repaired as Lincoln had wished that it had been, his death casued very bad things to transpire that even today have not faded much.

The act of history I would change...Had I the power to change it..I would change the fate of the Knights Templar...starting with the Horns of Hattin. I really think that the Knights Templar would have done wonders had they not been defeated at the Horns of Hattin which took place in the Galilee near Tiberias in present day Israel. If I could only change one act, it would be the outcome of the battle at the Horns of Hattin..and from there I think history would have been rewritten had the Crusader kingdom defeated Saladin's army. Perhaps life in Jerusalem and elsewhere in the Middle East would be different had the Knights Templar still been around, or got to live out their legacy. The fate that had befallen the Templars was horrible. I am a huge Templar fanatic and I am obsessed with the Knights Templar, and their history. Had they not been round and burnt at the stake, tortured and what else happened, I think there would have been many good things going on.

Nov. 22,1963, I'd like to see America if those bullets had missed. Kennedy was starting to disassociate America from Vietnam. Imagine America with Kennedy President from 1962 to 1970 and no Vietnam War and then Bobby Kennedy probably would still be alive and he'd of been President from 1970 to 1978. That's the day America changed.

If you could go back into time and were able to kill Hitler when he was a baby, would you do it? You wouldn't dare kill him, haven't you learned not to mess with the space time continuum?
Consider the possible consequence. You kill Hitler as a young child, years later, say 1933, Ernst Roehm instead becomes dictator, in mid 1930s, HE decides to begin 'heavy water' experiments which lead to the first nuclear bomb built in 1939.
With that device, he easiliy defeats mother russia and the allies, and the Final Solution is 'completed.' Your mistep in the space time continuum caused the death of ALL European Jewry and enslavement of half the planet...way to go!....you should'a stayed home in bed where it was safe and leave the living to others..

I don't think I'd change a thing. I know a lot of people say 9/11, but let's say we do change that event, and stop it from happening. If Terrorists try again then the loss of live could be over 10,000 or worse. Changing a bad event could have an even worse consequence that we can't imagine.

I'm torn between two: JFK's assasination, and the day the electric car was vetoed in favor of gas-powered automobiles. I'm betting the earth wouldn't be in such a global warming mess.

Well, George Herbert Walker (1875-1953) could have been given a vasectomy before his daughter, Dorothy, was conceived in the second half of 1900. Several things, including two presidencies, would have been different.
