She was afraid Rosie would sit on her & make her watch while Baba Wawa made out with that Bette Midler starter-kit (whose name escapes me).

Her contract was at an end and she had really turned into a Bridezilla and was very brazen in hawking for freebies while on the show. In addition to that, her negatives had been rising as a result of that and she was a train wreck waiting to happen, so the brass did not want her back. This was prior to her even knowing that Rosie was going to take over Meredith's chair. Rosie and her had been on the outs because Rosie had been calling her to task about lying about getting bariatric surgery.

They were not going to renew her contract. They had not released that information to the public, but she decided that the public should know and told everyone on an episode of the View. The problem was that she didn't tell anyone at the show that she was going to announce her departure and thus why she wasn't there anymore and all of the bad blood between her and Barbara

From what I understand she didn't leave, they didn't renew her contract, so she was "let go." Apparently there were plenty of complaints about when she got married and she used the show to get free things for her wedding. Plus, many people were irritated when she was losing weight and she wouldn't admit it was from a surgery, she just kept saying it was from diet and excersize. She was also mad that they hired Rosie O'Donnell as it was known she and Rosie didn't get along. Rosie always called her out on the weight thing saying that she should tell the truth.

They "didn't renew her contract" (read: fired). She lost support with the viewers because she kept going on and on about her wedding and she lied about how she lost all that weight. People got sick of her.

it's been long overdue. she lost the fat from her body but her head remained huge from all that hot air of stardom. she's too ugly to be a star.

I believe she left because she was asked to leave. She blows and I'm glad she's gone!!
