The AC works, but only through the defrost section of the vents. There is no AC on the floor vent or dash (by radio, lights, turn signals......) Is this an easy fix, and what could be wrong?

yes, you have a vacuum problem, you need to make sure the switch in the dash is getting vacuum. when it only comes out of the defrost this means you have no vacuum or the vacuum switch on the back of the control panel is bad

Open the hood,remove air cleaner housing,then look on the top of intake manifold,near the back of AC compressor,small plastic vacuum line run to the passenger side toward the vacuum reservoir,near the AC receiver drier.Hose is brittle and broke due to heat.HTH

I had the same problem, Twice, the first time the vacuum line from the engine broke, the second time the vacuum line one the back of the control head came loose
