...during the heavy part of my period. Is it unusual that it happens to me even though I am a virgin and dont use tampons? I ask because people on here keep talking about queefing in connection with air being pushed into vagina during intercourse.

I guess I'm just wondering how air got into my vagina in the first place (seeing as I don't use tampons and I haven't had sex).

Honey, that is your blood coming out. It has a nasty habit of doing that a lot at night. I used to have to wear at least two pads at night. Also, if you stand up suddenly, it will expel the excess blood. That is what you are feeling at night, and not the other that you discussed.
The other way is gas and not in any way connected to what you are talking about.

Yea it's normal. I think the increased lubrication from your period makes it easier for the air to make noise. Come to think of it, I don't think I have ever queefed while dry as a bone.

Try sleeping with a pillow inbetween your legs or sleep on your side.

That happens to me all the time. I wouldn't worry about it. During your period your just a little more gassy thatn usual. It's common.
BTW: Tampons & being a Virgin have nothing to do with it.
While we are there no, using tampons doesn't mean that you've lost your Virginity.

That happens to me when I have my period. You are just releasing air that is trapped (it doesn't have to be from sex, somehow the air just got it)
