Rvs range from 50k to millions yet I see Rvs in the shop with maybe 40k and they always need transmission work or engine work..major work..why if the things are so expensive? Can't the manufactureres fix the problems?

I own a 1999 34ft class A with 30K miles on it.
This year is the first time I have had trouble. I had two sensors go bad but at least we were at home.
The main reason is failure to perform maintenance. The transmissions are constantly pulling 18K pounds and need to be serviced every 15, 000 miles not 150,000 miles. I have observed them being driven 80 mph which is murder on a motor designed for a PU truck. Also, there are so many components in the cabin area that break that it increases the chance of going to the shop. I am able to fix most things thankfully. I also put it in the shop every year to look for trouble before trouble finds me on the open road.
I will admit they are money pits but we have many good times in it.
