other than sex, I mean when you dating someone and are unwilling to be open to meeting other people. You keep your options closed and that can lead to marrying the wrong person. Maybe God wants you to marry someone great but you wont give 'em the time of day because you have a boy friend/girl friend. In the old days they didn't have exclusive relationships until engagement.

It's not a sin, but it's wrong to lock yourself down into a relationship until there is a commitment.

what does all this have to do with sin?? loving someone who your not married to is not a sin. and things are alot diffesrent now then they were way back in the day.

If your question refers to the biblical sense. Then the answer would be no it is not a sin.
Where the sin comes in is intercourse outside of wedlock.
