There is Office for Mac
You could also use Neo Office.
Text Edit, a basic notepad like program that will come with your mac can save in .doc format.

Yes, Microsoft has also made an Office suite for Macs.

It's called Office 2004 for Macs. It's pretty good actually:

They're also coming out with an Office 2008 version for Macs, and it's going to have the nice ribbon UI in Office 2007. That's kind of cool. You can get the Office 2004 right now at some retail stores. Good luck.

Oh, and also don't get OpenOffice. Some of my friends did before, and it wasn't as full-featured, as Microsoft Office. It kind of sucked that some basic tools aren't in there. Plus it could contain unknown malware. Don't let price over quality get to you.

Airs are not good for capacity, in basic terms portability. you may get an older Macbook professional (it seems comparable to a Powerbook, Google it) for slightly greater cost-effective. For Powerpoints, etc. you will could desire to purchase iWork, a seperate suite. It covers each and every of the school/artwork stuff. The greater moderen mac laptops (no longer the quite previous ones) do no longer want Airport show so a techniques as i comprehend. examine your style of your router to work out if this is nicely suited with Macs, whether i think of it is going to artwork. to circulate the documents, you may get a no longer ordinary force, positioned each and every of the documents on the no longer ordinary force, and positioned it on your mac. in step with risk the folk on the apple keep ought to do it for you.
