You'd probably do better if you appeared at the door sans clothing.....(smile) If you are really serious about surprising him - add some candles to the table, his favorite meal on your best china, a nice glass of wine, some romantic music and sit down for a nice dinner. When you are done, turn on the TV to his favorite sport or game show, and get the keys to the whip and go shopping......

We are men, we don't notice things like this. However, we do appreciate the effort when it is brought to our attention. Quite frankly, you should just ask him how he likes the new dress that you got and that you got it especially to look nice for him. You'll spare yourself any disappointment if he doesn't notice and you can bank on the fact that he will be pleased.

You'll know if he will notice your dress if you have known him long enough.
