n even when she knew that the question was for her....

ohh.....u made a direct hit to her n she didnt bother to answer.......may b she didnt feel like naswering ...but starred coz she like ur question...u knw its like dont wanna say but just wanna giv an indication....(ishara).....thts wht i feel ....kabhi hota hai its k..but yes wen u feel like starring a question who come u dont answer??????

not to be rude but...
How can you ask a question with the word "compulsory" in it and they go on to have the worst grammer/spelling I've ever seen?
I would bet over 80% of the people on here have no clue how to define compulsory...
The answer to your question, I would say, would be no. The star keeps it easy accessable to review other's answers. Maybe some people have no idea how to answer the question, but would like to see what kind of responses it gets.

I do not quite understand your question though I can say that there may be many factors that you have to take into consideration for not answering a particular question; such as the contents, the type of, the way you formulate it, and whether the question asked is worth answering.
Even if the someone knows the question is meant for him/her?
We have to take everything in its own context before we come to a judgement.

grab a broom or something comparable and swing wildly until its ineffective. Or get some hairspray and a lighter and torch it. Or combination a gaggle of cleaners you have around right into a "dying combination" and attempt to splash it on the bee. now the sarcastic answer: nevertheless contains the broom.... basically no longer swinging wildly.

We star a question because we think it is a good qn. We do not ans the qn because we do not feel like or do not know!

I would think that if you starred a question, you would want to answer it, but if not, there aren't any rules about it........
