my daughter LOVES veggies! we use the frozen kind that already have the butter and cheese on them. corn and peas are her favorite. i also give her green beans right out of the can... she thinks that is fun. especially when she "helps" to open the can up. i just serve veggies at every single meal. if she hasn't eaten well earlier in the day then sometimes i'll give her just green beans and mashed potatoes and maybe one slice of sandwich meat. she will usually go for the veggies because she is so hungry. she also likes to put her food on her own plate (with guidance). yeah, and like that other person put, hide them in mac and cheese.

Try putting cheese on them. I make my son peas, carrots, and rice, then melt some cheese on it.
Or I put cut vegetable on the tray (he's still a baby), then shred some cheese over them.
He'll only eat broccoli and sweet potatoes on their own, any others need a little disguising.
You can also have him help you make pasta sauce, maybe he'll be more interested in something he made.
You can also try to give them cooler names like cucumber wheels or cauliflower trees.
If all else fails, stick some SpongeBob stickers on a bag of carrots and see if that peaks his interest.

You can keep trying different vegetables than you've already served, and he might end up liking one. You could also simply not let him have a snack later unless his vegetables have been eaten. We tried that when my son was two. We kept his plate and reheated it if he said he was hungry or wanted something else. He would eventually eat it. At first it was a power struggle, but we were consistent enough that it finally worked.

Are you eating them in front of him? Little kids like to mimic grown ups and if you make a big show of how much you like veggies, he'll try to eat them to be like you. (Or tell him how much you like them and that you're not going to share. Because he "can't" have them, it'll make him bonkers and he'll beg for them.)

The other thing is - if you're giving them to him cooked, try offering them raw. I HATED cooked veggies as a kid, but I would eat my way thru a garden full of raw ones. (I'm still picky about some veggies being cooked, but I'll eat almost any of them raw.)

Try making them fun for him. Give him some carrot and celery sticks, some peanut butter to dip, and a handful of mini Goldfish crackers (like from the 100 calorie pack) . Tell him he's going to "go fishing" by dipping the end of the carrot or celery stick in peanut butter, then trying to get a Goldfish to stick to the peanut butter and then eat it.

When all else fails. Sneak 'em in. Run 'em thru the food processor to get them really fine and mix them into meatballs or meatloaf or spaghetti sauce.

It takes 17 tries of a new food to become accustomed to the taste.......................... keep trying. Eventually, he will tolerate the taste. Cheese really is a great equalizer..........and ranch dip is a splendid invention.

I also agree about being a good example for your son. He needs to perceive that eating veggies is a natural part of your diet.

And.............don't worry. He'll get it.

Mix them into stuff. My friend makes her daughter pb&j and blends all sorts of veggies in the blender and mixes them in and you can't taste them.
Offer the veggies first and alone. same with you so he sees that is what's for dinner. Don't make a big deal out if it. make sure they are something that you would eat.

Put Brocolli or peas in Mac and cheese. Carrots and peas in chicken with noodles. Eat lots of veggies yourself...and if he doesnt want to eat them dont force it. Give him fruit instead!

as posted before, mix them into thing, but that doesn't always work. My son is 3 and doesn't like meat, and no matter how we try to get it to him, he always picks it out. But other than that you can't really force them to eat something they don't want, unless that is the only option of food they have.
