In the movies every time they eat Asian food every single person on film uses chopstix and it pisses me off! Theres got to be others out there just like me.

I can't eat with chopsticks to save my life. They're weapons in my hands! I hit my friend in the face on accident when I was trying to use one before! Give me a fork or I'll dig right in with my hands!

I am sure you are not the only one. Patience and practice often:
Hold one chopstick between your thumb and middle finger. Position the chopstick so that it lies at the base of your thumb (on the joint) and at the lower joint of the middle finger. This chopstick shouldn't touch the forefinger.
Place the other chopstick between your thumb and forefinger. The side of the chopstick should rest against the tip of your thumb; the top of the chopstick should rest against the pad of your forefinger.
Be sure the tips of the chopsticks are parallel.
Keep the first chopstick stationary as you practice moving the second chopstick toward the stationary one.
Use this technique to position the chopsticks around a piece of food.
Hold the food firmly as you lift it toward your mouth.
** # f you have trouble maneuvering the chopsticks, try leaning the second chopstick against your middle finger as well for extra support.
# Though you may be tempted to spear food with your chopsticks as an act of desperation, spearing is considered impolite.

1) take chopstick in hand
2) locate plate with food
3) stab food with chopstick
4) eat and enjoy your meal

not a lot of people prefer to use them, the fork seems to be the most preferred eating utensil in the United States.

I can't use them either! Give me the old standard fork and spoon and knife. It's worked for years,huh? If it ain't broke, don't fix it, I say! lol

I know how to use them as hair accessories :) But I use a fork when i eat!
