Being an exceedingly happy gopher takes a lot of hard work and time. So my assistant helps me organize the more mundane aspects of my life...like answering the phone that rings incessantly, taking my gopher suits to the cleaners, running my many errands, etc. Without Gladys, I'd be an "exceedingly lost gopher."

To take over the digging. The exceedingly happy gopher probably has more to do than dig holes.

Well, it could need it for love or companionship, maybe someone to shared the excessive happiness with or just someone to take out the trash during the crazy laughter and smiling. Or maybe the idea of a personal assistant is just another way of saying "friend."

I guess it would depend on whether it was a furry Gopher, or a human one. If it were the human one, I would think sex and more sex. If it was the furry one, it might need to have it's hair combed, maybe a nice nest laid down, or perhaps a nice meal in it's "DIGS". SidM

To run over to a restaurent & bring some food, answer the phone, remind the boss when it's time for a certain TV show, to go rent a video, make coffee or make a snack, answer the door, call your friend to confirm lunch.
