If that is all they do, it is likely that they are weaker and were forced from the pack by the dominant fish. If they have tattered fins, that is the case. If they look healthy, they may just be hanging out.

my friend used to have two tiger barbs and they are just weird. if they eat, i would say that they're fine

they are fine, cyprinids love to play around heaters,filters, or anything like that. i think that they are fine as long as they are still eating and acting normal they will be fine. but make sure that they are not burned or look sick.
