I don't know how the other married couples handle this one.But, I (the wife) have the nicer car.We have this arrangement for several reasons.
1. I am at home with our son who has medical problems.And I need to be able to get him to his appointments and to the hospital in cases of emergency.
2. I take better care of the cars.And I keep my cars longer.Wereas my hubby gets bored easily with his and trades them in often.
3. I currently have a brandnew car because it was an anniversy gift from my hubby.
4. I also travel out of town once a week on business.And he never leaves the area.

Does it really matter? You both earned the money to pay for it... My wife drives the newer car in our house. Mostly beacuse she is ferrying around the kids and needs a dependable car. She also does not feel comfortable driving the big suburban and since she doesn't know how to drive a stick shift car, she doesn't drive my 1968 Barracuda Formula S 383.

It depends because I sold one my car after we go married and we got a new one he had a hard time realizing that I work everyday and drive more so i drove it and it was a car (new mustang) so he couldn't use it for painting so i always drive it he drives it when he goes on bides just not when he goes to paint I share. I think it depends on who drive more and longer and if you do construction and she has an office job which one will get the car messed up faster or ruin it. talk it out

who has the better job? Who drives the farthest to work? I stay at home with the kids so I get the van, and my hubby gets to drive the acura to work because its nice, it gets better gas and it doesnt have room for the carseats and kid junk. If I am going to an appointment or out with the girls I get to drive the nice car if I want. Remember, this should never be a big deal, if you cant decide then take turns.

I drive the nicer car. Hubby doesn't need a nice car where he works. Would be dusty all the time.

i let my wife drive nicer car because if something happen with
not nicer car, i could handle and i do not want my wife have problems with car while driving/on the road.
isn't it elementary ?

the person who cares what they drive and what others think at a stop light should drive the nice car..The people who have more important things on their mind drive the cheap car.
