I'm in a pageant. there are three parts interview, public speaking, and talent. any general advice?

for the public speaking we just introduce ourselves and answer a qustion like if you were a candy bar what would you be and why ( like a Heshey's because it's sweet like me) and for the talent I'm singing a song I wrote.

I thinkk first of all you are bery brave for being there to begin with...during the interview be sure to sit properly and ladt never crossed her legs you can sit with your knees togather and your ankles can be crossed one over the other.Now when it comes to the singing just look out into the crowd and while you are singing think that they all have papersacks over there head and give it all you got

Often times you hear the advice to "be yourself" - Perhaps that should be amended to "be a little better"
