I have a 2001 3.4L chevy impala and I want to get a K&N cold air intake for it. And they only sell it for 3.8L. I was wondering if the 3.8L has the same intake set up as a 3.4L?

Will not work. The engines have a slightly different air intake setup. I have heard that the kit from SLP will work, just keep the stock air hose. (see link below) There are other DIY options, check out the ideas that are linked below. This should give you plenty of idea on what you can do with your car. FWIW, you can build your own intake from ABS and a K&N filter for uner $100.

I really doubt it the engine block is different the 3/4 is a 60 degree V6 the 3.8 is a V8 with 2 cylinders removed and is a 90 degree V6 . If K&N says it dosen't fit I would beleve them.

no. they won't work the 3.4 is a spin off of the 3.1. you should be able to track down a good used 3.4 manifold through a salvage yard. good luck
