on finding forever, dilla's so far to go put all of Kanye's tracks on that album to shame.
For those who arent familiar with Dilla, he produced tracks such as Runnin by Pharcyde, Common's e=mc2, the light, come close remix, Ghostface's whip you with a strap, Tribe's get ahold, stressed out, find a way, once again, breathe and stop, vivrant thing, and a lot of other ish

with a name like d-unit you have no say in the matter. Kanye is good, but dilla will always be top class..nuff said

J Dilla for sure. He can work with such little and always make a great track. And as you mentioned above all those tracks he produced are greater than anything kanye's produced yet in my opinion. Not to mention J Dilla produced all the tracks for Commons album "Like water for chocolate."
I think everyone will end up saying kanye because he's more well known but I'd have to go with J Dilla for his style and beats.

I would say Dilla because he produced my favorite tracks for The Tribe, and he was around first so Kanye probably was influenced by Dilla.

Dilla is better. Dilla is a musician and an originator with his own style, solo. Kanye is a sampler with a lot of bank roll to bring in studio musicians.
