The silicone caulk idea is good, except use it outside and inside. It is pliable and won't crack and crumble if the wire gets wiggled. If you haven't already done it you can buy wall plates with a small hole for cables for the inside to cover the hole you made. You'll have to go through the wall plates before going through the wall.

Silicon for the outside (Match the colour of your brick or use clear) and Decorators caulk on the inside. The caulk is not silicon, and it can be painted / pasted over after. As you know, silicon will not take a paint or a wallpaper paste on top of it.
The silicon on the outside makes it watertight. Assist this by drilling the hole slightly downward (Only a couple of degrees) so any moisture build will run out and not in.

On the outside use some caulk or like suggested by another poster that stuff that expands. For the inside make it look professional get a plate similar to your electrical outlets but with a cable connection, attach the cable to it, attach it to the wall and run a cable to what you are going to, will look much better and does not cost that much to do

If your house is masonary outside masonary caulk,if it's wood silicon caulk. Inside any spackle type sealer I prefer the lightweight quick drying stuff. Remember you can purchase these in small amounts you wont need much for that job.

How long has your anniversary been? If this is basically been a jiffy then he could be violent. in case you 2 have been jointly for an prolonged time (a 300 and sixty 5 days could be an prolonged time in my opinion) Then he would have been the only over reacting to the region. in case you have been jointly for a at a similar time as then understand his frustration because of the fact he probable basically wanted to be the main suitable "boyfriend ever", and if the anniversary failed than i could get annoyed and blame myself besides. basically study this and then see once you're over reacting. it particularly is my 2 cents. good success! If it were me I would use the can of Insulation, it seals really good and you can after it has dried, shave off the excess. BUT DON'T GET IT ON YOUR HANDS, it will hardly come off with gasoline.Trust me on this......
