need help with an essay?

Hi I'm doing an essay on sociology; the titile is: is there a lot more equality in families nowadays? my problem is I don't know where to start, what sort of things should I be putting in it? and where do I get the information from?

If u go back to the fifties, Dad was the breadwinner/head of the family, Mum stayed at home, cleaned house, prepared meals, looked after the kids, etc. Modern day feminists see that female role as one of subservience. In some families, Dad ruled the roost and didn't help with chores. Where both parents tend to work nowadays, there is much more sharing of household jobs. Children have much more freedom as well. There is definitely more equality in families today and therein lies a lot of the trouble with society today. In the majority of families no-one works, i.e. all equally unemployed. Parents no longer dare to reprimand their children, therefore everyone does exactly what they want - get the picture.

this seems to do with family dynamics,this question is self analysis.therefore to accomplish this task you must ask yourself is it worth it.do you expose your frailties or tell fibs to bolster your reasoning.maybe this is not your subject.if you are interesed in human nature try connecting with society.
