do they bring in top scientists and engineers to run our technology and mexican workers to work in industry (housing, farm, meat packing trades like mechanics and electricians) and are the majority of our young people taking jobs in the service sector -- "plastic or paper, sir?" and "will you want cheese with your whopper, mam?"
corporation bylaws do not even consider national interests. bottomline thinking is the only thinking or you are out. so, i repeat, are our corporations traitors? did our politicians approve and codify all this? don't you feel a little bit betrayed when you see your nephew or daughter struggling to get to her shift at pizza hut or one of the meat patty shops? minimum wage, is that what they deserve due to lack of education and no medical insurance and usually getting parttime status. the system and its laws do not care about nationality. should you. do you believe there really is a nation anymore?

Traitors? My man Corporatons CONTROL this nation! They decide what is and is not treason. It is in their interest to keep you fat and stupid so you will be obiedient little sheep (consumers) obsessed with trivialities to spend money on, timidly spending your life on your own private gerbil wheel, never being able to get out of debt.
Be careful, these days having one doubt can be considered treason.
That is why you should vote for me, Droopy Dog, I promise to fulfill all your dreams within 24 hours of being elected!

There are corrupt corporatins and others that are honest and trying to help the world and the economy. Some coporations look for the best possible bottom line profit, but not at the expense of workers and investers. Enron is an example of the worst in business. There are many others that you don't hear about because they do not have the scandal appeal.

I graduated from college a year ago and i have a job... so do most of my freinds... so no... usually the key to finding a job out of college is having done internships, having good grades, and be living in the right place or willing to relocate(big cities are better than little ones)... why should corporate bylaws consider national interests?... Cheney is criticized because his FORMER company is supposedly too concerned with national interests... the last thing we want is big business and government "in bed together" (we tried that once and it ended with a little thing called the "Great Depression")... as for Enron, you can't convict the entire corporate sector because of one bad apple, "most U.S. corps" are not really "traitors"...

Enron, a traitor to the nation. No I don't think so. The people at Enron were acting in their own interest, not against the interests of the nation. If they betrayed anyone, it was the people that worked for them that lost everything. Had Enron's scam succeeded, the money they were making could have been put back, and no one would have been the wiser.
"are our corporations traitors?"
No, they supply the US with jobs and prosperity.
"did our politicians approve and codify all this?"
Who knows, but I tend to not believe conspiracy theories.
"don't you feel a little bit betrayed when you see your nephew or daughter struggling to get to her shift at pizza hut or one of the meat patty shops?"
No, pizza hut is not required to give any hypothetical niece or nephew of mine a job. When you are trying to get a job, you compete with everyone else and the company selects their own employees.
What do you think is a fair salary for work that virtually anyone can do, like work a cash register? Let's say John Doe has a family and works at Pizza Hut. He wants to provide for them well, should Pizza Hut pay him 6 figures?!

Corporations are "people" watch "The Corporation" a documentary to see how our politicians have betrayed our nation and given them rights to loot and abuse our system. You can be fired and a foreign worker at a cheaper rate can replace you, all legal! Rush will say thats business blah blah blah...but when middle class people lose thier jobs homes and livlihoods watch this nation crumble and you are next!

The problem is that these traitorous "US" corporations are now global corporations. Look at Wal-Mart. They import most of their goods from China at dirt cheap prices that US manufacturers can't possibly compete with. How patriotic is it to put Americans out of jobs while promoting child and forced labor? This is true of many mega-corps.

Seems like the definition of a traitor is a person who commits treason by betraying his or her country. A corporation is not a person. Therefore no corporations are traitors, huh?

most of them, they only care obout thier own personal interest. that is why all of our good paying jobs are going overseas.
it is not globilization but corporate greed. but eventually it will lead this nation into revolt, we should already be fed up as a nation. lost jobs no health care, homeless children, starving children, but hey that is okay let's continue to support the whole ******* world and to hell with our own people.
we need to clean up our government starting with the president and working our way through the senate and then congress all the way down and then start a new government that actually cares about what is good for the people instead of thier greedy corporate friends.

when profits > people, or profits > loyalty to your country, you get these situations where companies take advantage of tax loopholes, register their offices in an overseas place, and do whatever it takes to make money, with little consideration for America or Americans.

I don't know if I would refer to them as traitors to our nation as much as I would call them slaves to the money.
