hey this is a drawing i drew of angels pouring water. i am 14 years old, it took me 2 1/2-3 hours, and i took an introductory art class during freshman year. could you guys please rate it on a scale of 1-10? also, could you state how much experience you have in art and give me some commentary and constructive criticism? thanks so much!!!

not realistic human-like with wings. thats why some of the hair lines are very harsh, and why there they dont have any pupils

You're moving the charcoal around the paper pretty well for a 14-year-old. They're usually pretty hesitant and timid.
You have a good sense of form, a good range of values, and furthermore, your water is understated but still looks like moving water.
Keep it up, you'll go far.
Don't worry about rating things from 1-10. Do nine more drawings the same size, and then YOU arrange them from 1-10, according to your judgment. Then you'll see how you've improved with the practice.

very very good.. you have talent. I give it a 9. Make the angels faces a little more soft... I see why you drew them the way they are... they are statues.. and not realistic angels that you would imagine... therefore your pictures are right on what you imagined a fountain would look like.. keep up the great work.

hmm...i'd give it a 6. it's actually not bad, but the angels faces and bodies should be more realistic and proportioned. Also, try to stay away from smudging the pencil with your finger. When you're shading a drawing, use the pencil really lightly and you'll get a much nicer effect.
good luck!

i like the darker one, it looks less 2-dimensional-ish. i'd give it a 5. of all the figures in the drawing, the lowest pot looked the most realistic.
try to experiment with only one source of light. play with the light, put it anywhere (directly above, at the front, directly behind, at 30 degrees... etc. ) that will give you a good exercise on shadows and backgrounds.
after that you can try multiple sources of light.
but if you're aiming for abstract, i think it's good.

I think your faces can be more expressive, but there's no doubt in my mind that you have talent.
