sqrt(8) + sqrt(18) - sqrt(32)
= sqrt(4*2) + sqrt(9*2) - sqrt(16*2)
= 2sqrt(2) + 3sqrt(2) - 4sqrt(2)
= (2+3-4)sqrt(2)
= sqrt(2)

your question doesnt make sense in math terms. if x=9, 2(9)+7=5 18+7=5 25=/=5 doesnt equal. solving for x 2x+7=5 ....-7..-7 2x= -2 .÷2...÷2 x = -1 is 2x+7=5 all under a square root? i'd look at it again

sqrt8=2sqrt2
sqrt18=3sqrt2
sqrt32=4sqrt2
so when you add and subtract as you've stated you get 1sqrt2 or simply sqrt2
