Odds are the guy was born somewhere on a planet, and grew up for a lot of years before he became an X-Wing fighter. During that time "on earth", he picked up his accent from the people around him.

A highly educated, financially motivated entrepreneur hired a number of multilingual specialists to prepare scripted lessons for each of the myriad languages. These specialists then each recorded his or her particular language lessons on computer discs and placed then into damage-preventing containers for transshipment to every known inhabited location.
During their specialized training programs, each astronaut was required to learn at least one new language. Unfortunately, the language specialists each spoke with the dialect and accent predominant in their birth locations.
The one X-Wing fighter guy was using a disc recorded by someone who spoke with a country accent.
Hope all y'all got that!
