Noone can tell you how to write a song darling. I've been a musician for over ten years and i still struggle with songwriting from time to time.
Most radio savy songs follow a certain structure of verse/chorus/verse/chorus/bridge&chorus but
not all songs have to be written that way.(and honestly i like songs that are a bit looser than that)
That is the beauty of music, their is no law. Just write what is your most immediate emotional thought, you'll be surprised how easily it flow out of you.
Think of things that are important to you. whether it is politics or love..it doesnt matter just take yourself there. It'll be easier than you think.
If you play an instrument that'll help you out greatly.(help you out with timing and phrasing) two of which that i believe are the most difficult part of song writing. It's not always about what you say, it's how and when you say it..make sense?
So dont be so hard on yurself. Dont say you suck, dont get so frustrated,,keep it up the hard work and it will pay off..i promise.
if you have anything you'd like to have read and gone over with you let me know. i can also send you a song or two of mine just so you get the feeling of my writing style..just remember their is no right or wrong way!!!..good luck!

Start by NOT writing songs.
Write phrases which appeal to you. Sort of like the title to a song. "Broken Wing"..."Fence of dreams"....
Keep a list of these and read them as often as possible. Sooner or later a second phrase or sentence will jump into your head to match one you've already written. It may rhyme, but it may alsop NOT rhyme. Add the two together on a separate page. As you re-read THESE, even more ideas may pop up and you add them.
Once you have several lines, or ideas to one group, you can begin to organize them into a cohesive poem. Don't think of music just yet. Get the meter down, the emphasis right and work toward an idea, rather than a rhyming scheme. Once the idea is more solid, you can rethink the sentence for the rhyme. But go for the Idea first. The downfall of most songwriters is to think of the RHYME before the idea. If all you can think of is Spoon, June, Moon, then the idea may become lost in mediocrity.
Once a poem/idea is more than a few lines long, you're ready to work with the music. Each piece will have it's own style, and the ideas you've expressed will give you (or your songwriting partner) the idea of the key, style and meter.
Most all songwriters start out this way.

I don't think there is any right or wrong way to write music. I think its about what your feeling, and just putting words on paper. Try to look it as though its telling a short story on what is in your mind.....poems help, journal entries.....maybe after your write something, have a close friend help you edit it. Believe me, I am sure famous song writters have others edit their work. I think it is very rare to write something perfect the first time. Don't be so hard on yourself.....maybe what your writting is not much to you, but to someone else, its great. Just allow another set of eyes help you. =)

You can write one like this:
Today
May
You
True
Chorus:
Find
Kind
Call
Fall
We
See
Fan
Can
Chorus:
Find
Kind
Call
Fall
Light
fight
Grow
Flow
and then if you want the chorus again.
The chorus is the main part of the song, it is usually repeated several times in the song. This is the basic way of writing a song. The rhyming can change but it usually the way I showed you above. I hope you get the idea.

Writing a song is like telling what your heart feels.
There are no basics to saying what your heart feels.
Just meditate or slow down think about what is going on around you and inside of you.
Soon you will think of a song.
Song writing isn't easy.
But it doesn't have to be difficult to do.
It doesn't have to be as good as those Singer/Songwriters
All that matters is that you created it and it came from your heart.

That's the thing. One gets an idea that sounds great at the time, then as one thinks about it, doubt rolls in until one believes it was never a good idea after all. Just stick with it.

First of all, Basics: Songs have words, and they usually rhyme. :)
But, don't be so hard on your lyrics, give them some time to grow on you. Possibly get a second opinion on them.

WELL DONT THINK SO...JUST WRITE THROUGH UR HEART IT WILL BE SOME WHAT DIFFERENT....
LYRICS IS IMPORTANT FOR A SONG COZ IT DISPLAYS THE THEME OF UR FEELINGS...NNN MORE IMPORTANT IS THE TUNE OR WHAT WE CALL MUSIC...
SO WITHOUT THINKING OF ANYTHING JUST GO ON...I HOPE U WILL SUCCEED..
