I have about 5 pairs of Reef flip flops (the ones with the nylon bands and foam/rubber base) and I wear them ALL the time. They start to smell after a while because of the hot, wet, sticky summer weather and my feet! lol...

What is a good way to wash them? Please do not tell me to buy new ones..they are about $25 a pop and are the ONLY flip flops I like because they do not give me blisters at all.

I've tried soaking them in hot water and soap, but the smell still remains! I think I might pop them in the washing machine!

Thanks!

Try sprinkling baking soda on them and let them sit overnight. Then, shake them out in the morning. You can also buy like a peppermint foot spray or any kind of odor-eliminating spray to use on them after you wear them. Hope this helps! : )

Believe it or not buy some cat litter!!!!!!!! Cover your flip flops for 3-5 days and the smell is gone for good!!!!!!!!! I read about this trick about 10 years ago and it has yet to fail me.

My feet sweat really bad and mine stink after about 2 days of wearing them. I have like 15 pair and grab a different pair every other day. I scrub them with dish soap and a scrub brush and sometimes they still have some odor to them. If I scrub them then wash them in the washer with hot water, soap, and bleach they smell better but still hold onto some of the odor.

A real quick solution is to clean the area where your feet come in contact with the Reefs with a make up remover of facial cleansing wipe and leave to dry for about 5 minutes. Works for me!

If you are planning to start on your woodworking project, this isn't something you should use, it's something that you would be insane not to. Go here https://tr.im/s4dUV
Truth is, I've been a carpenter for almost 36 years, and I haven't found anything like this for less than 10's of thousands of dollars.

Put them in the washin machine, but do NOT put them in the dryer. I've lost some flip flops and bras that way.... Try to get accustomed to some cheaper flip flops like the 2.50 ones at Old Navy. I have about 15 pairs of flip flops.

I have Reefs, too! They're the best, huh? Anyway, I just take mine in the shower with me and let them really get soaked with body wash, shampoo, whatever. All the oils come off the shoe and it looks as good as new. Then I leave them in there to dry overnight. Best off all? They don't reek or smell at all by the end. If that doesn't work for you, it may just be your feet. Try some tinactin or go to a podiatrist if you're stumped.

I wouldn't pop them in the washing machine, because they are kind of flimsy. Just try the shower thing a couple of times. I swear-it works.
