I really liked the Kingdom Hearts games, the Jax games and God of War. Are there any other games out there that are like any of those? I've been looking and haven't been able to find any.

I have played all 3 of those series and thought they were terrific. I have recently played Metal Gear Solid 3 and Resident Evil 4. They are 2 very widely loved series in the gaming society and I am glad I have finally been able to give them a try. I highly recommend them if you are into those kind of games and have a chance.
Rygar is a game that God of War practically derived and game from. Although I have not played the whole thing, my friend allowed me to try it. Rygar plays out very similarly to God of War and also holds Greek mythology within its story. You should give it a shot and see how you like it.
Apart from violent games, another great series is Dance Dance Revolution (DDR). It gets gamers off their seat and actually moving. A whole lot of my friends love DDR and so do I. If you have not tried the more innovative games already, you have no clue what you are missing. So I recommend trying DDR even if you end up not liking it all that much.
Those are just a few different games that are excellent and I have played (two of them very recently).

If you like the Jak and Daxter games, you will LOVE the Ratchet and Clank games. They are quite similar, in fact R&C is better than J&D, in my opinion. If you like Kingdom Hearts, (an action RPG), I recommend Dark Cloud 2 (released as Dark Chronicle outside of the USA). And if you like turn-based RPGs, I recommend Final Fantasy 10 and 12, and Dragon Quest 8.

Dance Dance Revolution, and Guitar Hero will keep you entertained for months. But those might not be your type of game.
