Yes because smoking is healthy.
You see, tobacco, the all natural ingredient in cigarettes contains a substance called nicotine. Nicotine increases your heart rate - just like aerobic exercise!
Therefore smoking cigarettes can be used as a direct substitute for aerobic exercise!
Time Savings: In only two minutes that it takes to smoke a cigarette, you get all the health benefits of a 20 minute work out!
Cost Savings: A pack of 20 cigarettes costs about $4, or about $120 a month. A membership to an exercise club can easily approach $200 a month or more!
Seriously - If you know and understand the risks, do what ever you want. I own stock in RJ Reynolds and Philip Morris.

Why would you want to do that cigarettes will kill you. They cause lung cancer and heart disease. And not only that but second hand smoke can kill other people to. You might be killing off your own loved ones by doing that. Plus if you keep smoking long enough it'll make everything in your house smell like an ashtray.
P.S. And another, thing you should never try something just because you see other people doing it. You should be an individual and not give into peer pressure. And it doesn't make a good hobby either.

I am a smoker, and don't suggest picking it up. Yes, I do enjoy it. I like the taste and the feeling, but not only does it kill your body, it affects all aspects of your life. If you go to a restaurant with a non smoker, or even a place that says you can't smoke, you have to leave everyone to go smoke. The cost is really high in some places, which can suck up more money than you know. When you are on a long plane ride, it sucks going through withdraw. Once you start, you may only smoke once or twice a day, as I did. Now, I am at a pack a day, and that is a good day. You constantly smell and your breath really reeks. Also, I can't run worth a crap anymore because my lungs don't take air as well as they used to, and I have smoked for only three years. It also affects your heart beat and pulse rate. All in all, there is really more bad with starting than not. If you still want to, it is your choice. Everyone has there reasons. I started to help with stress, in which for me, it does. I also don't plan to stop. If you do start, smoke lights. They aren't a "safe" cigarette, but are a bit better than others. I smoked camels till I couldn't afford them anymore. If you do start, sometimes smoke shops sell them for cheaper. I wish you the best of luck.

The only reason you see a lot of people doing it is because it's habit-forming. I bet if you asked each person if they are glad they smoke, they'd say they wish they could quit. Plus, the cost, UGH! I smoked Marlboro reds for 10 years and got to the point where I coughed all day long and couldn't even sleep! I've been smoke-free for 11 years and am so glad I quit! So, don't start! You could still get a cool zippo though!

Sure, many people have taken up a lifelong hobby of smoking. I would suggest starting out with 'light' cigarettes until you get used to the burning sensation of hot smoke in your throat, then gradually move on the regular, and eventually filterless cigarettes for maximum enjoyment. It's quite a fun challenge to actually find a 'designated' place to smoke these days, and even then, there is no guarantee that some clueless moron won't go out of their way to tell you that it's bad for you (everybody knows this already). Don't worry about all the dangerous chemicals in cigarettes, they are common in other things too,Nicotine can be found in: tomato, potato, eggplant and green pepper. Methane is not toxic,Small amounts of formaldehyde are produced as a metabolic byproduct in most organisms, including humans.*** It's hilarious to see how many idiots jumped on the question screaming 'OMG don't start smoking, it's like totally so bad and stuff and you will die!!!111" Geez people, even a half wit could see this wasn't a serious question***

I was a smoker, now I can't stand it...I am pregnant (almost 3 months) and before I even knew I was pregnant I couldn't smoke...I felt like puking every time I smelled it...then I found out and thought about it...well, if my body automatically rejects it is because it's SMART enough to know that it won't be good for my baby and if it's not good for my baby, then why would it be good for me OR ANYBODY IN THE WORLD?...it makes you smell bad, get yellow teeth, bad breath...and you won't eat right, etc etc...if you research a little bit more you will see how many people are dying from smoking/cancer. PLEASE, DO NOT START...just because other people are doing it doesn't make it right for you to do it. Research A LOT before you start doing it and then you will see you're saving your own life. Once you start it's kind of hard to go back to not smoking...you are a beautiful person and think of your body inside and out...it's perfect and beautiful. Take care of it, there's no refund for it.

Yes
If you start smoking right now, depending on you’re age, you could have years and years of life to look forward to.
For the first year there is nothing to significant to fear. Sure, you will have a hard time making it upstairs. From time to time you may have a little bit of smokers breath. Other than that it shouldn’t be too rough.
After about four years. You’ll be good and addicted. You’ll know you are addicted when you are approaching strangers on the street and offering them a dollar or 50 for cigarette. You’ll always be popular the birthday parties because everyone will know where to turn when it comes time to light the cake. Your taste buds should be pretty close to dead, and your sense of smell should be greatly diminished. It will be about this time that you start putting on significant weight. Because your sense of taste and smell aren’t as good anymore you will eat even stronger tasting and stronger smelling foods. You should also eat them in greater quantities to try to enjoy flavors that used to easily enjoy five years ago. Your ability to maintain regular exercise will also be greatly diminished.
It will be in the tenth year that the nerve endings in the tips your fingers will be dead. You won’t be able to gently caress another person’s cheek and feel it. A small price to pay for a decade of that great tobacco flavor. After years of overeating and no exercise you should weigh at least 75lbs. more than you do today. As you lay down to go to sleep at night you should hear a whining whisper of a wheeze coming out of your throat every time you inhale and exhale. The smokers cough should have you well in its grasp by now and every time you laugh it should end with a fit of coughing.
In the fifteenth year . . .
I don’t know if you’ll even make it that far.
If you are determined to take up smoking. I might suggest you try the Camel stubbies. These filterless cigarettes will allow you to take in all of the tobacco flavor that they have to offer. Also without the filter all of the carcinogens and poisons should be able to work on your system much more quickly and the end result is that you will be dead. Hopefully this occurs before you have the opportunity to create another person as stupid as one who would ask "Should I start smoking?"

Omg that is horrible dont you hear about all the people that DIE from smoking??? It's a battle to quit so I would not start think of the outcome! Theres Cancer, emphysema and not only does it have long term effects but it has short term ones as well that take not too long to develope. Here are chemicals in cigarettes that I hope make you really think twice!
Nicotine: a deadly poison
Arsenic: used in rat poison
Methane: a component of rocket fuel
Ammonia: found in floor cleaner
Cadmium: used in batteries
Carbon Monoxide: part of car exhaust
Formaldehyde: used to preserve body tissue
Butane: lighter fluid
Hydrogen Cyanide: the poison used in gas chambers
So please do you and your life some justice and find a different hobby because smoking isnt something that you will enjoy when you are dying from it!

Don't. All my friends are smokers and respect my choice for not. At those parties when the smokers are out puffying, I do go with them and keep them company as they smoke. If you want a hobby try jogging, cycling, or something that is healthy instead.
