UV gel nails harden set in 15-30 seconds & cure in about 2 minutes. For more information: http://www.nailsplash.com/gelnails2.html#1

My nail tech feels that acrylics & gels are the same. Acrylics are mixed before use while gels are pre-mixed before application. According to her, gels are a bit more difficult to remove. Both types need to be soaked in acetone but gels need to be filed down repeatedly during the removal process.

i've had the gel nails done once! i didnt care for them, mine started falling off and taking my nails with them. when i got them removed my nails were really brittle and weak. i think your better off just getting a manicure and using an oil on your nails. plus fake nails look well...fake, and theyre not good for your nails in the long run.
