Hotel Rwanda is a good one. Some might regard the racial difference between the main character and his wife insignificant. The Hutu militia regarded the Tutsis as cockroaches. Don Cheadle does a great job portraying a man trying to save not only his family, but many other refugees as well.

Classic film with Sidney Poitier getting ready to marry into a white family (headed by Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn). Good flick and well worth your time.
