I hae dealt with some form of depression for the majority of my life because I do not have any serotonin in my brain. Take heart. Do thing s differently and at different times to avoid ruts and see if that can change your outlook. Maybe you need to talk to somebody and spend time with others and not so much alone time to see if that boost your spirits.

it isn't anybody's fault but your own if you don't take advantage of the help offered thru therapy, not the doctor, not anyone, just you. Depression is a habit, it's a way of thinking negatively all the time, and most of us that have depression become very good at only seeing the negative side of things. It's this habit you have to break. If your doctor will not prescribe meds for you, then see a psychiatrist and get what you so obviously need. But, you have to do it, nobody is going to lead you by the hand. So if you are truly tired of thinking about suicide and all the nonsense that goes with it, PROVE IT, get the help you need.

depression does not happen without a reason. There is always a reason for it. Figure out what's bothering you. You must be really honest to your self, though.

Fortunately, I am not. But, depression without an obvious cause is known as "clinical depression". There is help if you need it. Hope you are feeling better soon.

I get that sometime. If there seems to be no reason, it's probably just that your brain is low on certain neurotransmitters such as seratonin. If you research it, you can find ways to boost your levels, otherwise, there are always prescription drugs, which I'd rather avoid if possible.
