I just noticed that all of my firefox bookmarks have been lost. I'm not sure what happened. Any idea how to restore them? They all just disappeared at the same time.

If you are running Windows, go to this link:

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Lost_bookmarks

or do this

First close Firefox

Then go here:
C:\Documents and Settings\ (insert your USername)\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

You should see something named bookmarks.bac
Copy this file to your desktop, go back to

C:\Documents and Settings\ (insert your USername)\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Now delete the bookmarks.html (if there is one)

Now, rename your bookmarks.bac to bookmarks.html

Now open Firefox, and your bookmarks should be back.

Hope that helps!

Yea, it can happen sometimes. Luckily firefox is good about making many backups.
