after buying a tv,vcr,or dvd player do you read the owners manuel or do you just wing it

I try to wing it at first,then I get a head ache and end up reading the manual, which sometimes I still can't figure it out...:)

People still buy VCR's? Really, people still Make VCR's?
Anyway, hardly never. I mean, what's there to know? Hook up the Cords and turn it on. It's common sense.
