I hear that the plan is to arm Saudi Arabia to oppose Syria and Iran, but isn't it Sunni Saudi Arabia who are funding our main enemies Al Qaeda?

Surely the War on Terror is a war on Al Qaeda, not Iran and Syria.

The government is on our side but it doesn't mean everybody supports the governments view. There are many in Saudi Arabia that would like to over throw the Saudi government because it has too close ties with the US. Nothing over their can be cleanly divided into good and bad. You just have to play one party against another which ever is convenient at the moment. It is ridiculous to expect 100% lolaty from anybody. People pander to the US not necessarily for the love but for protection.

No, Saudi Arabia is just funding the other Sunni militias and insurgents that are fighting along side Al Qaeda.

There is no evidence that Saudi Arabia is still funding Al Qaeda after 2001.
