My comet goldfish is about 3 inches long and he's in a 10 gallon tank by himself. I recently had 3 fish in that tank, but the two of them died of swim bladder. Anyway, my fish, Bob keeps swimming back and forth. He swims from one end of the tank and bumps into the glass then he swims the other direction and he does this most of the day. He doesnt go into the back and do it then goes to the front, he just stays in the front of the tank. There are no physical difference with him, but I recently noticed that he seems to be more hungry. He goes to the top to look for food. And when he is usually pacing, hes like 1 inch below the water level. I have one whisper filter and a bubbler if you need that info. Do you know what is going on?

Your fish sounds stressed. It is probally due to the loss of his tankmates. When a fish dies in the tank they release an enzyme that the other live fish pick up on.
When our shubunkin died, that stressed our other fish.
We did a partial tank change (1/3), and after a few days everyone got back to normal.
Swim bladder is caused by them going to the suface to eat and gulping air. Try soaking the food for about 30 secs before feeding it to them. It will help the food sink so they can eat it.

Check the water and see if the levels are safe. I have a silver dollar that did that a lot but it was because he gets scared when people approach the tank. Also add some salt. He might just be stressed! Check the temperature. Maybe he is not looking for food but air?

The tank is too small for him.. That's what it is. He ought to have a bigger tank, and he's just swimming back and forth because there's no room to be comfortable. I'd upgrade to about a 30 gallon

Ditto to volcomsk86, it's the tank size. Your fish needs a much larger tank
