Ideas:
1)Explain how that when/if you are pregnant or even nursing that if you should or should not do Aromatherapy, and tell them why.
2)Explain if someone wants to get involved how long to do aromatherapy and what are the different ways you can do aroma therapy like a diffuser or inscence.
3)Benefits of Aromatherapy
4)Which essentials oils in Aromatherapy are toxic.

Well I sell aromatherapy oils, and I would recommend while you are giving your presentation, then let a defuser burn, if you don't know what that is, they are little stands that have a place where you can put a tea light candle, under a little bowl and the candle heats up the oil, I usually use water with my oil, and it evaporates the oil/water mixture and thus releases a wonderful scent into the air. I would recommend mellow oil like Sandlewood, or Jasmine, or maybe a Eucalyptus. Hope the presentation goes well and have fun with the whole aromatherapy idea!!!

Start out by explaining what aromatherapy is.
Go over a brief history. The man with the burnt hand [ a french name I can never remember ] who plunged his hand into lavender oil and it was cured very soon.
Explain how oils are made : Steam distillation, press etc.
Why is there a price differential in oils ?
The olfactory system.[ breathe in through the nose it works on emotions but inhaled through the lungs will help physical illnesses.]
Different diffusion methods, the properties of several oils and chemistry of the oils.
Bring several bottles of oils and little papers to put the oils on.Pass them around. Bring some coffee beans to clear your heads. Ask people not to wear fragrance to your class.
Explain how oils can be used at home and encourage others to work with oils.
Have a bibliography of books people might want to read up on.Make sure they all know safety procedures.
Sounds like fun.

I have taught a bunch of aromatherapy classes. A great parlor trick is to rub garlic on the bottom of peoples feet; they will be able to taste garlic. This helps to demonstrate how essential oils enter the blood stream dermally.
Good Luck!

I know that "Silky Scents" has essential oils & organic essential oils, and they have a free recipe section. You'll probably be able to find all the information there. Plus they have the pictures of each plant. You can google their name to find them online.
