Yes, as a matter of fact it has happened. To make a long story short, I was cooking one day and the kitchen got really hot. So I decided to open the door to let some cool air in. I went into the living room to watch TV and when I returned there was a raccoon digging in the trash can. I screamed jumped up on a chair and grabbed the broom. After much effort finally got him to run out the door.....:) Oh and he was hissing at me....

Yes. A very large shrew got in the back door. It was the size of a New York subway rat! I woke up to find it dead within 3 feet of my head, and on the dog bed. Trust me, after screaming that varmint AND the bed was out on the curb!

Out of the house? No. But the other night my wife and I were standing out in the front yard with our dog, talking to our neighbor, who was sitting on his front steps. When all of a sudden, out of nowhere, baby possum ran up the steps right at his feet. We all jumped a bit at that one. Those things are just SO creepy looking!

No, but I once had a wild animal scare me from going IN to my house...sort of. We have skunks in our neighborhood. I came home from a movie with my family once and the skunks were on hour front walkway. We had to wait until they left before we could go inside.

Not really. I had a baby raccoon come in the back door one evening. I just took my shoe and coaxed him to turn around and leave. We have a momma raccoon and 4 babies living about 200 ft. away from my home. We get to see them almost every evening when they wake up to start their "rounds" searching for food.
