im giving blood today at 4:14 it is 9:30 right now. I did this in high school a few years back but i dont remember what i ate. Please give me some tips on what to do and some insight.

they have been calling me alot lately because my blood type is o- and i guess they need it really bad.

I also have very small veins so will it take longer?

How long is the process?

Thanks!

Start to finish may be 30 minutes.

You don't need to eat anything special. Eat and drink normally during the day, maybe drink a little extra.

Your smaller veins may make it a bit longer than some.

Every two months. Its a great thing to do.

You don't need a special diet, but I would recommend something higher in carbs so your blood sugar doesn't drop to low. They should provide something there.

It should take about half an hour. give or take 15 minutes.

The small veins shouldn't make much of a difference.
