Well it's do to the fact that the Bullpen isn't shutting good runners down to be effective. More so our relievers then starters. And our hitters have hit a little slump. It actually is pretty common and the NUMBER ONE team in the AL unfortunatly isn't an exception. (Though I wish they were!)

They'll bounce back...they ALWAYS do! Especially with Zumaya & Rodney coming back...We're the team of "D"ESTINY afterall!

GO TIGERS!!

Side Note--the person above me is a complete & utter MORON-- how about the Tiger's being on a losing streak WITH your beloved Indians. Dude- make sure your team is WINNING before you flap your opinions about MY TEAM. At least the Tigers made it to the WS last year-- where were the Indians again? Hummm....it's good to think before you type cupcake. You'll just get SHUT DOWN otherwise. ;)

The Tigers' pitching hasn't been getting the job done lately. Bonderman was rocked the other night for 10 runs in 2 innings. Verlander had a nice outing last night, but the bullpen blew it. The Tigers are also in the midst of a horrendous road trip where they've been to like 6 cities in 19 days and have played like 19 games in as many days.

They will come around once they get Rodney and Zumaya back in the bullpen. I disagree with the person who says that their hitters are slumping. The Tigers have scored quite a few runs lately, but they've given up even more. They still have the best batting average in the league with RISP.

Can't really see a problem here, it's just a bad run that every team goes through now and then. Even if Rodney and Zumaya are only 75% of what they were for the rest of this season, the Tigers bullpen will be significantly boosted.

Quite surprised they didn't go after bullpen help when Rauch and Cordero (Yup I'm a Nats fan) were available, particularly as Todd Jones will surely be blowing saves well into September.

1) Starting pitching has been real bad
2) A lot of hits - but without men on base
3) Waiting for 2 guys to come back to the bullpen is scary. Look at Rogers - how has that worked so far
4) Still shook up over lack of ability to throw to third
5) Still hurting over the World Series

and

6) The curse of Georgie lives on.....

The season is a series of up and down cycles and the Tigers are in the down cycle right now. They have a good team and should be fine come playoff time.

It's just the normal fluctuation of the baseball season. In a 162 game season, pretty much every team will hit a cold stretch here and there.

Every team has a little slump here and there. They'll get out of it soon. It's August, so they're probably starting to wear down a little

They are sliding. The fun is over. They will be choking the rest of the season and it will spill into 2008 and will continue to at least the next decade.

Just a little funk. They will be fine once they get out of the left coast.

IT's ok because those pesky little injuns are losing too!!!
