Officially, that is in the parlance of the hotel/ hospitality industry there is no such thing as a semi - luxury hotel. This has been coined by hoteliers who advertise their properties. Basically it is an advertising gimmick. Such hotels cannot be compared to 3 Star Rated Hotels. You'll just get a room with an attached bath, complimentary breakfast that is served everyday till it is over- just a normal hotel in a by lane, nothing else.

In fact any hotels in the world can attach a TAG "Semi-Luxury Hotel". No fixed definition or standard for SEMI !!
