So, i'm not really sure what's going on. My boyfriend & I had unprotected sex in May & I went to get the After day pill. Like a week after that, i got a really light period .. it lasted 3 days and it was very light. Usually i get it 5 days & it's a regular flow. I have not gotten my period since then!! I have had pregnancy tests but they all came out negative.... i'm wondering if i should get a blood test? or if the pill messed up my period or what???? I'm really frustrated. Someone please help me. Thanks.

Go get a blood test. Yes, the morning after pill can screw with your period, but that was a few months ago, so better safe than sorry.

There is a warning about the Morning After pill messing up your hormonal cycles and therefore meant only to be used as an emergency back-up versus an actual method of birth control. It can take months for your body to regulate this hormone imbalance. If you are concerned about a pregnancy, get an appointment set up with your doctor and have blood drawn to check your HcG levels. You should have definitive results within two days after you have the blood work done.

You should call your Doc's office that prescribed the morning after pill. Yes, this can throw your cycle off. Even though you have had negative home pregnancy tests, you can speak with the Nurse and she will have you go to the office for a urine pregnancy test. Insurance will not pay for a blood test unless you have a documented positive urine test. I hope this helps.

Any time you OD on hormones, you have the potential of messing your system up. The 'morning after' pill is an OD of hormones. It's NOT good for many women -- it can have very bad side effects.

You need to find a GOOD ob/gyn doctor to test you and help you get your body back where it's supposed to be. Don't settle for free clinics -- get REAL medical help.

I took the mornign after pill and it delayed my period for a while and it also made me lightly bleed the week after. However, I would still go see a doctor because it didnt take me two months till i got my period

Yes, get a blood test. Sometimes your amount of HCG (the pregnancy hormone) may be too little early on in pregnancy and therefore undetectable on home pregnancy tests.

Go to a doctor and have a blood test, and don't have unprotected sex unless you are ready to deal with the consequences!
