Sorry, I just noticed that I have 'my' instead of 'make' in my question.

It should read:
Which issues make Ron Paul such a popular presidential candidate?

This poll shows him way ahead of the other Republican candidates. It is still active - you can vote.

using the constitution as his guide, lowering taxes, abolishing the IRS and Fed Reserve, voting against the patriot act, (keeping our lives private, and not sacrificing our feedoms) you just have to do research on him to see why he's the number one choice for alot of people even though the media is censoring him, he's true American.

Because he is very much into putting the Constitution back INTO the government and rule as such.

Why do you think he wants to do away with the Federal Reserve (which has NOTHING to do with our government and everything to do with private banks)? It is because it is unconstitutional and makes the people nothing more than surfs to the rich.

He also is very much into protecting this countries sovereignty and stopping the North American Union from proceeding.

He is campaigning on all of these points even though it is at great personal peril to himself. There are certain elite who would love to take him out because they don't want him talking about these things and letting people know what is infact going on.

He voted against involvement in the wars!
He wants to abolish the IRS!
Abolish the Fed & respect the Constitutionally mandated Gold/Silver monetary system, with the new {really back to the old} system governed by the U.S. Treasury department!
Shrink the size of the Federal government!
Abolish Homeland security!
Improve international relations with ALL countries!
....And much more!
Thanks for your question.

Very little makes him popular, because he isn't popular at all.

He stands no chance of election, because no Democrat and at least 1/2 of Republicans would not accept going back to the limited government of the Constitution.

And the simplistic abolishment of the Fed and going back to gold standards is neither a simple thing, and is likely to entail severe negative repercussions.

Same with the simple-minded belief of withdrawing immediately from Iraq, etc.

He's as fringe as Kucinich or LaRoush.

Apparently none. Most large polls put him at about 1%. Some don't even list him.
