I'm having a lot of trouble deciding if these colleges are right for me so any info. would be great!! i want to be a vet and i also would like to go to a small college. these are the colleges i'm looking at right now:
Baker University(MO)
Simpson College (IA)
Truman State (MO)
William Jewell (MO)
Oklahoma Baptist (OK)
Union U (TN)
Concordia U (NE)
Hastings college (NE)

First -- you can get lots of information about colleges at the two links I provide below. The second one (Princeton Review) even has a tool where you tell it about your interests and background and it tells you what colleges are good for you.
Second -- I've never heard of any of these colleges -- and I know a lot about colleges.
Third, there are only 27 Vet schools in the US. Most of them have residency requirements -- so that means that there are really only one or two Vet schools that you will be allowed to apply to. It is one of the hardest programs to get into -- much harder than Medical school. I actually know people who went to Medical School because they couldn't get into Vet school.
This means that you need every edge you can get in order to get in. You need to work with a Vet part time in order to get experience and show your commitment. You need to take Pre-Med classes and get straight As. And you need to go to the best university that you can go to as an undergraduate.
Contact the admissions office at each of these schools and ask how many of their students get into Veterinary schools after they graduate. My guess is that the answer is "None."
My advice -- go to a better school.

To be a vet,the best college to attend would be TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY.They have a college of veternarian medicine..look up veternarian colleges...and ask them to send info...
