First of all, you need to make sure your parents on on board with your decision 100% because at your age you will need to count on them to get you everywhere you need to go and being on time (early in fact) is key.
Second, you need training. Acting class, voice lessons & dance classes.
Third you need to gain experience because no agent will take you unless you already have a decent resume, even at 12 you need to have experience. Get involved in theatre, try to get roles in student films, independants, etc.
Remember that legitimate talent agents take 10% of your pay AFTER they help you get a job and not before. Managers take 15% and print agents take up to 20%.
If you want to find a legitimate agent to represent you for commercials, TV & film go to Sag.org. Use the dropdown menu on the right labeled 'resources' and choose 'agent information'. On the next screen, on the left choose 'Find a SAG franchised agent' and follow the directions. You can look up agents all over the US, but there are higher concentrations where the work is (Los Angeles, NY, IL, FL, GA etc.)
Then you can send them your headshot, resume, and a cover letter stating that you are seeking representation and wait to see if they call you in for an interview.
Once you have an agent, they will get you the auditions, but until then you can check out actorsaccess.com. You can also see if your state has a film alliance. Sometimes they post audition information for projects filming locally. For theatre, you can go to backstage.com or http://www.actorsequity.org/castingcall/... If you find the audition on the Equity site, you still may be able to go, as long as their not taking appointments from equity actor's only :-) On backstage.com you have to pay to get all of the info, but the initial search is free and you may be able to see enough info to find out the rest on your own without paying.
As for the modeling, start here:
http://www.fordmodels.com/main.cfm - click on ‘global scouting’
http://www.elitemodel.com/flash.html - click on ‘be discovered’
There are a ton more modeling agencies, but just start there.
If any of these links do not work, just type in the address. The scams are the ones that try to get money from you for basically giving you the info that I just gave you and for some sort of classes or suposedly helping you get an agent... don't fall for it.
Good luck

Sweetie, you can't just go on yahoo! answers and find an agent. You need to discuss this with your parents first and have them find an agent, but first you would need to get an acting coach and for modeling you would need to have your parents seek out opportunities and contests for that (try outs basically), good luck.

Aw ... yay you! I'm an actress, too ... I understand the whole "agent finding" thing ...
I would suggest talking with people in your area and searching the net for agents near you. Make sure they are reputable and have a history of finding people good roles in movies/commercials/photo shoots/etc.
Definitely utilize Google ... it's a lifesaver! :)
Break a leg, hon!
