When they can really predict the weather with some degree of consistency and give me a cell phone and provider that won't lose a signal, I will believe in Global warming.

There is NO faith involved with global warming. It can be proved with scientific data as well as anything can be proven in science (remember that gravity is a scientific theory).
There is no scientific evidence supporting the existence of god.
There's a huge difference there. Global warming does not ahve a faith component.
A better question would be, "why do people who have no trouble believing in God when there is no evidence have so much trouble believing in something where there is overwhelming evidence?"
Edit: Kja63, that is true. The problem is that we were already in a warm cycle. Trust me, you would know if we had been in a cold cycle and it was warming up. In fact, we were about to go into another cold cycle. (yes, another ice age)
The thing is, the earth did warm and cool in cycles. However, that depended on a natural balance. Before us, the cycle never let more then 300ppm of CO2 in the air. Never in over 500,000 years that we can measure. actually, we can go back further, just not with as much precision.
in the past 50 years we passed the 300 mark. About the same time as our energy usage took off. And since then temperature averages have gone up correspondingly.
A mind is a terrible thing to waste/

Does your mama know you are posting here.
You say you cvan't SEE global warming.
Perhaps you should go to the polar regions where the ice is melting so fast that many scientists fear the oceans will rise at a precipitous rate flooding all low lying land around the world .
Hopefully YOU live in such an area and as the waters rise and you are just about to drown because of global warming maybe you will then realize just how assinine your post is/was.

The empirical evidence of global warming is all around us. The evidence of God's love is within our hearts. I don't see a problem with either. Now of course, your reason for asking this question is to question the spiritual beliefs of those who may think there is evidence of global warming. So, to carry this a bit farther, folks who link environmental degradation with global warming are atheists.
An interesting position you have there.

Actually there is all kinds of data to prove that God exists. Even the worlds top scientists and scholars acknowledge the existence of a man named Jesus Christ. You can question his divinity if you want, but most of you on here just deny his existence despite the overwhelming evidence.
Gee, I guess that makes you no different than the Global Warming deniers.

How can you NOT see global warming? Remember Katrina? How about the droughts? The heat waves? Ice caps changing? I say CHANGING because, they are MOVING to different areas.
But alas, these things are not because of global warming, but are caused because of the changing poles which are currently moving right now.

There is overwhelming scientific evidence not only that global warming exists:
http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=average+annual+global+temperature+graph+chart&fr=yfp-t-501&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8
but that humans are the primary cause of the current warming:

Thermometers (and satellites) tell me that global warming exists. There is absolutely no evidence that any god exists.

There is no data that global warming will ever present a threat......did the democrats ,who had a massive orgy the other day, lie to you that a normal change in the earths cycle is more of nothing that it is about soccer moms in suvs?
God can be proven, hstorically, spiritually, and for some even scientificaly.
Global warming is a lie, a farce, a media induced cocaine shot so people can rack in your "stop global warming" donations so they can go o the titty bar every friday.
Katrina had nothing to do with global warming, nor any storm in the past decade. Antarctica is getting thicker and colder, the temperatures are the same, and congratulations you have all been brainwashed by al gore.

there is evidence that goes against the idea of global warming, like the fact that ice on greenland and antarctica is actually increasing, and that hurricanes are dramatically lower than 3 years ago. this evidence is never mentioned anywhere.
there is evidence that goes against the idea of a god. this evidence is always presented everywhere, and whoever produces evidence that supports god, he is labeled a fundamentalist, or a closed-minded and uneducated moron.
can you notice the bias?

Well if you look at average temperatures 100, 50, 20 and 5 years ago you will see temperatures have been rising, and they pretty much has been happening since the industrial age began. This "Warming" is happening all over the planet or "globe" so we can Scientifically prove the world is getting warmer, so we don't need faith. It's happening

Yes, for many the issue of global warming has become a religious matter -- case in point, a minister in DC who was removed from his church and censured for daring to suggest that the issue of global climate change might be something to explore. For just CONSIDERING THE POSSIBILITY this minister was censured by his church.
It's sad that so many people have become so fanatically closed-minded that they won't even consider the possibility that thousands of scientists from all over the world might have a clue.
