Masturbation is not as good without porn. Without it it takes longer. Is this normal? I've decided to try to quit watching porn, but its not as good without.

Yes to your question. It does take longer without porn. I've been there. One of your greatest challenges with be to change your mind about porn altogether. Look, the porn is in control of you! Is this how you want to live? There are books available on how to rid your life of porn. I hope you are ready to go there.

Why are you trying to quit?
If I knew why then I could suggest something, but without a reason for an action then the action itself is meaningless.
You could read a book.

If you don't have to masturbate, then why are you trying to force yourself to do so? Do something else with your spare time, like take a martial arts class, or read a good book.

I think that giving up porn in your case is a wise choice. Porn has made you lazy concerning masturbation. Meaning that your imagination has gone to crap. The imagination "muscles" have atrophied and are trying to die. You need to work those "muscles" and get them back to body building shape.
Imagination is like a healthy well rounded meal. Porn is like fast food. Fast food on occasion is okay and a treat, but it shouldn't be the cornerstone of your menu.

If you really want to give it up, try using your imagination instead. Read stories to give yourself ideas, or write your own scenarios with as much or as little graphic detail as you like. Use them to stimulate the biggest sex organ in the body - your mind.
