You know, the Instability/Lake Effect Thunderstorm like Snow Showers?

I love them. I've seen some Thundersnow squalls in Detroit that produced near Severe Wind Gusts (50 MPH or higher). One in particular occurred the same date that Buffalo saw that terrible Lake effect Thundersnow Storm (last October). The squall was forming Anvil-Shaped Tops and everyting.

I love bad weather. I want to see a lot of rain and wind, coupled with lightening and lots of thunder.

I want to see a whiteout snow conditions in Reno, NV, leaving at least 5 feet of freshly blown snow on the ground.

Those are better known as squalls, since the weather bureau calls almost anything that can cause snow short of a full-blast storm system a snow shower. We (Frederick,MD) miss most of the lake-effect stuff because of the mountains, but the ones that make it here are fun to watch, too.

I love them. I also love any kind of snow storms, especially the heavy snow that could make the power go off for a long time. When this happens you can open your blind on the window and the snow is so white it makes light go through the room, and you can get all of your family and cuddle under a lot of thick blankets together,,,,,, now that is the life..............
