Im looking into getting my husband tickets to go somewhere. Should i get him tickets to see his favorite band play (Nickelback), or tickets to the Dover 400 (Nascar). Last year we did both, and he loved them both equally. I dont know what ones to get him this year but we cant afford both. What is your opinion on which ones i should get him? THey are both around the same date, and same price. Thanks for your opinions!!

I've been to concerts by the same group yearly and, although it can still be fun and enjoyable, it never really matches the previous year. In a year's difference, the band will normally play a lot of the same songs. The second time around, you might think "hey, I think I liked how they did that song last year a little better" so it ends up being a deja vu type of experience.

A nascar race would not be the same as last year. It would have different action and presumably a different winner. It would be a unique experience.

Wait a while on Nickelback. Give them a chance to build up a few more new songs and go next year. It will be a more memorable time then.

I would go with the race. (And I'm not even a Nascar fan- lol)

Personally, I'd say concert tickets unless especially if they're good seats. He wont have as many opportunities to see the group in the future as he would nascar. Plus you can always watch nascar on TV.

Take him to the concert, then give him a lazy day with his friends for nascar in front of the tube.

Well, you could do the concert since you've already been to a race, but if you do the race you can make it a whole fun weekend by going to the beach or something-Rehobeth Beach and Ocean City are great and you can camp instead of hotels to save money.

Try the infield at the race (if you haven't been there before) It can be a really fun place, and it does not cost as much as the grandstand. That way you might be able to afford both again!
